PDAnet Application for Android/Windows Mobile/iPhone

This is a wonderful application for your smartphone device. This allows you to take your laptop or tablet on the go with you and tether your phones internet to your device/laptop. So if you're outside with no WiFi, but you have cell phone service, just plug your phone in to your device and now you'll have internet access. But, you can also take any device that has WiFi and tether that to your phone. All you have to do is go to the PDAnet webpage and download this application on your computer. It will prompt you with step by step instruction on how to install this to your phone as well.

On top of that, while you phone is plugged in to your computer, there's a program in PDAnet called SMS agent. This program allows you to receive text messages to your computer from your phone in an instant messenger style. This feature is what I take most advantage of when I'm using my laptop. Its just convenient and i don't have to keep switching from my phone to my computer.

The free version of PDAnet only allows you to access certain sites on the web. Mainly sights that have high security are blocked(bank sites, etc). However, there is a paid version which varies in price depending on week it seems. I bought it for $9.99 about a year ago. Now its on sale for $15.99. its only a one time payment and can be used on any device with your log in credentials.

Personally, I think this is one of the best apps I have purchased. It's a must have for any android, iPhone and Windows Mobile user.

New iPhone 5 or just the iPhone 4 repackaged...?

Apple always bothered me by coming out with a new iPhone every 6 months that was just slightly better than the last one they just put out. In turn pissing off all their customers who have just previously bought the last model. But don't be alarmed, you can buy the new one by trading your old one in and paying half priced for a new one, (Still setting you back $150 on top of what you paid for your last one) what a deal...

So the new iPhone 5 is supposed to be coming out soon, yet no one knows the date. Companies are getting mix signals from Apple which is creating frustration for them and their clientele. But why does everyone want this new iPhone? I just don't get it sometimes, here's what we know so far about the new iPhone 5...
"The addition of the NFC chip to the iPhone isn't for easy credit card purchases, but so the phone companies can control your financial transactions. Be warned."   - PC Magazine
There is this new chip in the iPhones, which in concept sounds great, but in use it can destroy your life(or at least your social one). This chip is installed in the phone so that you can just swipe your phone at the register when making a purchase, and the purchase will be added to your cell phone bill. Awesome idea, I know, no more credit cards or cash. I wish i would have thought of that. However, this now means two things. The cellphone companies will know and track all your financial purchases(because now their your bank) and  also, unlike your bank, if you fail to pay your cellphone bill, your service gets cut. So now you have no phone and still a payment. So, just to warn you, don't use that feature or you could be in a mess of trouble.

Besides that, the new iPhone apparently isn't much different than the last one(I say apparently because no one really knows the specs 100%). But there are some positive improvements which are worth taking a look at. The iPhone 5 is aimed to be loaded with Apple's new A5 dual core processor; However, this is one of the main reasons apple didn't release the phone in June. The processor is the same one found in the iPad2, but when paired with the new phone, all it did was over heat. So because of this apple might just make small improvements from the iPhone 4 and sell it on the market as the iPhone 5(Sounds stupid). It will have a nice 8MP camera with single LED flash(This is the first time the iPhone has had an updated camera, I'm so proud *sniffle*) and a nice 4in retina display screen. I'm sure they wont downgrade so expect a front facing camera as well.

All in all its a nice upgrade and a fresh breath of air for apple and iPhone users, But are you willing to shell out $200 or $300 bucks for a new iPhone which is only a slight upgrade from your last one and can track you financially?

Watch a rumor video of the iPhone 5 here...
