Google Buzz Gets Kicked Off the Team.

Written by Doug Puccetti(Me) on www.techhog.com:

If you’re asking yourself “What’s Google Buzz?”, you already have an idea why Google is ending this service. Google Buzz was the first social networking project launched by Google. As you can tell, it never really caught on. There were people that used it but, since the launch of Google+, its just a small percentage compared to the number of Google+ users.
According to webpronews.com, Bradley Horowitz (Google VP) released this statement with the recent Google+ update:
“What did we learn from Buzz? Plenty. We learned privacy is not a feature… it is foundational to the product. And this awareness gave us the resolve to design privacy in from the very beginning, which led to Circles for sharing the right information with the right people, as well as transparency around which parts of your profile can be seen by whom. We also learned how compelling it is to have meaningful conversations with interesting people, which we’re happy to see happening all the time in Google+”.
In a few weeks, Google Buzz service center will be shut down so all the attention can go to the more popular child, Google+ (Some of us know that feeling all too well…). Since the release of Google+, it’s member’s have grown exponentially week by week, or even day by day. So Google needs all the help they can get to make user experience the best it can be.
Google doesn’t seem too upset about this change. They look at it as a learning curve; Taking all the positives from Google Buzz and learning from all the negatives. This is a great move for the company and we can’t wait to see where it takes Google+.
