The LG Optimus Sol. New Life for the Mobile Phone Department

A new user friendly phone was just recently announced by LG called the Optimus Sol. Available mid-September in Europe, the LG Optimus Sol sports a 3.8 inch WVGA (Wide Video Graphic Array) AMOLED display, 5.0MP camera and 1 GHz processor (Which is now average for high-end mobile devices). This phone packs a big punch for only sizing in at 9.8mm thick.

On top of the phones fall-in-love-with display, LG incorporated a new idle-based power management system which in turn will save 20-30% battery life, and with these new Smartphone’s with large screens; 20-30% more battery life can make a world of difference.

There are few downfalls to this device. There’s no dual core processor, no front facing camera and only 5.0MP camera. However, this device will be one of the most affordable 1GHz Smartphone’s, with an AMOLED screen, out there.

The new LG Optimus Sol looks promising for the future and I can’t wait to get my hands on one!
